We have scheduled various webinars throughout the sale period to stimulate interest from the public, said Raki Urbina, co-chairperson of the GCS.

On Oct. 12 and 13, another webinar dubbed as “Redefining and Optimizing the Essential Components of Retail in these Most Challenging Times” will also be conducted. 

GCS will also host a webinar on “Leading by Emotional Intelligence with Stressed-out Workforce and Anxious Guests and Customers.” On Oct. 19 and 20.

The webinar series will be conducted by The Rockstar Trainer and Resource Speaker of the Philippines - Francisco Dela Cruz. Mr. Dela Cruz who hailed from Bocaue, Bulacan is a retailer, a hotelier, a trainer, a leader, an influencer, and a guest-&-customer experience champion. He is a Certified Leader by Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) in London; and a Certified Competency Developer by the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in Canada. He has a total of 35 years working experience, and from this, 17 years were spent abroad- in different countries in the Middle East, where, among other various roles, he used to be the Hospitality Training Manager of Sheraton Hotel in Kuwait – a 5-Star Luxury Collection Hotel. He was a Retail Training Manager of Alshaya Retail Group in the Middle East, operating in 19 countries, with more than 2,500 stores and 110 nationalities. On the other hand, his work experiences in the Philippines included being a Branch Manager (or Senior Retail Operations Manager) of many SM Stores in the Philippines, a Planning and Budget Analyst at Philippine National Oil Company, and Evening Professor of Business Management and Marketing at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and now an independent Trainer and Resource Speaker of many private companies and government agencies.

According to Camille Aldeguer, chairman of the Great Cebu Sale that GCS will also be tapping a group of Event Organizers and Wedding Planners for a possible collaboration with the Hotels, Resorts and Restaurants to bring in more guests to hold events and functions.

“It should be a welcome development for hotels who have functions, however, mass gatherings are still prohibited”, PRA President-Cebu Chapter Chester Lim said.
