The cake is another product of Choa's creativity with chocolate as her muse. 

   Torta de Don Papa Rum is made with The Chocolate Chamber's dark chocolate from the finest fermented cacao beans infused with Don Papa Rum which is produced from fermented molasses referred to as black gold

    Rum is a liquor made by fermenting then distilling sugarcane molasses or sugarcane juice. Unbeknownst to many, the Philippines is a sugar-producing country that has been churning out some of the finest rums in the world.

"It is a delicate cake since it requires precise ‘beating' to create that smooth yet compact texture. Torta de Don Papa Rum is an ‘effortless’ cake as it softens subtly as it touches the tongue - a dreadfully decadent dessert," the Chocolate Queen shared.

     Instead of the usual buttercream or mirror glaze frosting, the silky smooth chocolate is enrobed in a snow-white icing. It is a downright luxurious cake that perfectly marries the sweet grassy taste of rum and the delicate notes of dark chocolate. Torta de Don Papa Rum is truly a marvel to behold this Mothers Day. Don Papa Rum is also best paired with other chocolate creations by The Chocolate Chamber such as its fluffy ganache truffle.
